About

plaisirsmaison.com publishes practical decorating guides for small homes and small budgets. Each guide says what to do in a room, where it goes, roughly what it costs, and a cheaper way to get the same effect.

What you'll find here

• Room guides for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, bathrooms and balconies.
• Ideas that work in rented homes, with no drilling wherever possible.
• A shopping list and a printable checklist for each guide.

How the guides are made

Guides are written with the help of AI tools, from research into what people ask and what existing guides cover. Most images are AI-generated illustrations of the ideas, not photographs of a real home.

Measurements and prices are general guidance. Please check them against your own room and your local shops before you buy anything.
